Founded in 1873 as the Dutch-America Steamship Company, HAL was originally a Dutch shipping line that transported immigrants from the Netherlands to North America. HAL's fleet of eleven ships includes the Rotterdam, which can accommodate more than 5,200 passengers and crew. HAL's cruises visit over 470 ports in 98 countries, including popular destinations like the Caribbean, Alaska, Mexico, and Europe.
Our objective was driving consumer demand for Alaska cruises by way of a joint "Alaska Adventure Campaign" with HAL and Princess Cruises. The campaign’s goal was to address key consumer questions: Why visit Alaska this year? Why choose Princess or Holland America Line? Why book now? The creative focus was on enticing consumers to book their trips by highlighting the unique appeal of Alaska and the unparalleled experiences provided by these cruise lines. The campaign was used across print, digital, and social channels to capture attention and increase bookings.
OOH ADVERTISING
This series of banners and billboards was designed to contrast the man-made environment viewers are currently in with the awe-inspiring natural wonders awaiting them in Alaska. The campaign showcases stunning photography of Alaska’s landscapes, some featuring our actual tour guides to create an authentic and relatable connection with potential travelers. The goal was to inspire viewers to envision themselves exploring Alaska's untouched beauty, positioning the destination as a must-see, life-changing experience. By leveraging these contrasting visuals, the campaign aimed to generate excitement and drive bookings for Princess Cruises and Holland America Line. As one of the designers on this collaborative effort I was responsible for concept development, layout design, and execution using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
SOCIAL
These Instagram Stories were designed to showcase once-in-a-lifetime moments in Alaska, each frame highlighting a spectacular scene that can only be experienced in this breathtaking destination. The images together create an inspiring visual journey that represents one incredible day filled with extraordinary adventures. The design aimed to captivate viewers with immersive visuals and guide them toward booking their own Alaska experience. Each story includes a swipe-up feature that leads to a dedicated landing page with a Book Now call-to-action, driving engagement and conversions. As the designer I treated + composited images and did the layout design using Photoshop.
